We are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers,
and send our heartfelt sympathy and love,
Marguerite and Frank Owens
Dot and boys,
So sorry to read of your loss. My husband John and I still share memories of Sunday afternoons with a yard full of kids at our home in Vinings. We enjoyed your family as neighbors and the opportunity to enjoy children before we had any of our own.
I know that Spencer will be missed. God bless your family.
What fond and fun memories of being on the Keywayden swim team.. I have special place in my heart for Mr Boyd and his family.. God bless family and friends of the man that helped many young men and women all those years ago.
In the mid 50s, as an 11-13 year old AAU and Havalanta swimmer, I had a huge case of hero worship for Spencer. He was a beautiful diver but more than that, he gave so much of himself to us young ones. I have such amazing memories of sitting around a fire, singing great old songs and learning harmony. I will never forget the time he spent with us. I loved reading that throughout his life he continued giving of himself to others. He will always be my hero.
My sympathy to the Boyd family for their loss as we celebrate his life.
It was so wonderful to learn all the great things my old friend Spencer did with his life. We were diving buddies and he helped me to begin my rise to second place National AAU status. He was my dear friend as well. Thank you Spencer. We will all miss the goodness of you. May Dot and his children find peace soon. Gail Benton Prescott.
I did not know Spencer personally, but his parents were close friends of my father and step-mother, Roger and Ruth Allen, and I heard many wonderful things about him over the decades. My condolences to the entire family, especially to sister Verdery who was so kind to us when Daddy and Ruth died.

My deepest sympathies are with both the Boyd & Merri Mac Family. It was an honor to know and love him. He truly is one of the great ones. He will always be apart of my favorite childhood memories.
Out of the blue, memories overcome me. Dot and the boys, I am so sorry for your loss. Spencer was a close friend, in another life, of swimming, competing and bumming around as friends. I headed his waterfront at Keywayden for a couple of years. God Bless you, Spencer and for our friendship. Sandra Benton Pearce
