This comes a bit late, but ... I worked all over the country for US Fish & Wildlife and always tried to get hold of a copy of the AJC soley for Mr. Bisher's columns. Condolences to the family and I imagine heaven is just a bit more pleasant these days.

To the entire Bisher family, I would desire that todays sports writers and announcers bring as much to the fans as your husband and dad. He made me a better person for his Thanksgiving Day column. We treasure his memory. I'm Thankful for Furman Bisher.
To Lynda with great memories of so many conversations with a true genius for sports and other selected stories. Last time I saw Furman was at a Braves game with 105 year old Bill Hargrove. They had a ball "talking ball." and as usual Furman took care to honor Bill. Such a fine southern gentle man in every scense of the word. We all have so many great "Bish" memories and no one was more beloved than Furman when it came to the Masters, Braves, well.... you name them. Don Vice
I treasure Furman's words in the paper and also have great memories of the Derby with Furman and Lynda. I'll always regret that ice storm during the Super Bowl week that kept us from seeing you both. With sadness, but great memories of Furman's merry presence.
