Jan List Boal

I want to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Boal family. Jan taught my late father at the University of South Carolina and hired him at Georgia State after my dad got his Ph.D. I have fond memories of the GSU Math Department picnics at the Boal homestead when I was a kid. Jan and Bobby always made us feel so welcome. May your warm memories of Jan help you through this difficult time.

Dr. Boal was my math professor at GSU back in the early 80's. He was a terrific teacher and more importantly - his Christian faith was a light in the darkness. I was the first person in my family to go to college and I graduated Summa cum laude. I hope he would be proud. My prayers are with his family.

p.s. my husband is an Architect - Dr. Boal chose the better route
