WOOD, Joetta Hunt Joetta Hunt Wood, age 90, of Dallas, GA, passed away on, Saturday, January 24, 2015. Mrs. Wood was born on February 11, 1924, to the late Walter C. Hunt & Jodie Mae Holland Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Wood; son, James Wood, Jr.; sister, Ella H. Moore; brothers, Gid Hunt & R.J. Hunt. Mrs. Wood attended Massey Business College, and retired as Book Store Manager of Kennesaw State College. She volunteered at WellStar Nursing Home for 17 years, and was a member of Lion's Club. Mrs. Wood was also a devoted member of New Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter & son in law, Nancy & Clyde Childers of Dallas, GA; sister in law, Vera Hunt of Dallas, GA; four grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Wood will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM from New Canaan Baptist Church, with Reverend Jason Loudermilk & Reverend Warren Huggleston officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Canaan Baptist Church Building Fund, 3147 Atlanta Hwy Dallas, GA 30132, in memory of Joetta Hunt Wood.
