He confirmed my godson, and my oldest son went to him for First Confession. Loved interacting with him at the Catholic Charities Galas. God bless his soul!

Over 11 years ago the Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Atlanta was a family in need of a father. Archbishop Donoghue came to us and was willing to be just that. As our spiritual father he graciously laid down his life and his time to lead and serve us. As we mourn the loss of our father we must also thank him for being a father who ministered to us...who prayed with us...and who led us...but most importantly who simply loved us.

Kathi Stearns, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Atlanta from 2001-2005

It was great sadness that I learned of the death of our beloved Archbishop Donoghue. He lived his episcopal motto to the fullest "To Live in Christ Jesus." His love of the Blessed Eucharist will be forever his greatest legacy. May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal.
