Dear Anne and all my dear cousins,
Sorry we're a week late in hearing the news of Skoots passing , but I wanted you all to know that Julienne and I are praying for each of you during this time of loss, claiming God's strength & grace to comfort your hearts and spirits. Anne we especially keep you in our thoughts at this time. After sharing the 60 plus years together with such a wonderful man, husband and soul mate we are sure it is not easy. We are thankful for all the many loved ones you have there with you and trust that God will give you His peace, that awesome peace that passes all understanding. We would have loved to have been there with you all, not only to hug each of you and draw close but also to celebrate Skootie's life together and to be in on all the amazing stories and also to witness Scoot & Roz's eulogies which we heard were so beautiful & touching! Well so much has been said about Skootie in all the previous messages here, but I would like to say that Skootie had a real positive impact on me especially as a child when I had the blessing & pleasure of being around him and all of you more as a result of our family reunions and times together during the summer months. And Scootie, what about those 9 week summers up at Sea Gull with Dr. Dimon there along with Anne to keep an eye on us!
Well, this is already longer than the rest, but as a nephew let me say that I never had Skootie set any of my broken bones but as an uncle he was such a beautiful sample to me of humility, love, concern and simplicity combined with his brilliant mind. I loved his passion for life, his unassuming spirit, the outgoing concern for others and his giving heart which was manifested in so many ways throughout his life whether it be through his many travels, his connect with the individuals who crossed his path or his love for humanity as a whole.
Love and prayers always,
Forrest & Julienne Dimon
