Thank you Joe, for your service during World War II. Thank you for all the beautiful gifts of art you left in the world for us, and for all the people you encouraged to continue to create art for future generations. Thank you for the gifts of your children: Chris and Jane and Josie, and for your children's children. Thank you for your never-failing sense of humor - I knew every time I saw you, you would have a joke (or two) for me. And thank you for being part of my life. I'm sad to know you aren't in the world with us any more.

With love from your niece, Ann

I was one of the Rome, Ga. artists who studied under Joe. He helped us start a group for the artists in Rome, called Rome Art Coterie. He was an inspiration to all of us. We loved him. He stayed at my house on one visit to Rome.

Mr. Perrin was a wonderful artist and inspiration to me throughout my years at GSU in the school of art and design. The art community feels the loss.
