Thank you Joshua. Thank you for being willing. Thank you Bowden family. Somewhere along the way you said the right things, did the right things that helped make Joshua count.

It was so sad to hear about Staff Sgt. Bowden. I personally did not know him, but I felt his presence as our country's protector. I slept while he watched over me and the whole country. He was a hero. I am so grateful for his courage and sacrifice. No words come to me to comfort you. His bravery was exceptional. How do these soldiers give up everything for people they don't know. Their ideals amaze me. Thank you Josh.

Dear Family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. I am a resident of Douglasville who hadn't heard of SSGT. Joshua Bowden until I accidently went thru downtown Douglasville on the Sunday he was bought home to rest. I lost my 29 year old brother in 2005 to Operation Iraqi Freedom. I know no words is of comfort to this family right now but trust me as time goes on only the memories that made him so special to you will be etched in your hearts and mind. You will smile again. I want to thank SSGT. Joshua Bowden for his ultimate sacrifice
