This was my 2nd and last year at Winshape Camps, all made possible because of Julia, Winshape, and everyone having anything to do with either of those two amazing blessings. Last year at camp I had the most amazing experience ever. I had the chance to grow in relationships with some of the greatest people I know. I also got to see Jesus in ways I've never seen before. Last year at camp, my life was changed. I distinctly remember lots of talk about a girl named Julia Tarter. People talked about her like she was the most amazing, joyful, Jesus loving girl they'd ever met, and I believed it too. I never got the chance to meet Julia, but from the first time I heard about her, I knew that I wanted my life to be remembered just the way hers was: a girl with a heart for people, and a heart for Jesus. Last summer I knew that the chances of me being able to come back to winshape the following year were pretty low. Camp's expensive. I prayed and prayed for God to provide me with a way to go back, just one more time, because Winshape now had a special place in my heart. One day, I got an email informing me that I was the recipient of this years Julia Tarter Scholarship. My whole family and I cried and cried because we were so honored and amazed by Jesus and His love. I cried because I was being compared to Julia, and that blew my mind. Julia changed my life. This year at camp was great. I grew stronger in my walk with the Lord, and I realized for sure, that my passion is to be able to poor Jesus into other girls lives through Winshape, because I want them to be able to experience that love in the same way I did. Thank you Winshape, Julia, and Jesus for having the greatest impact on my life.
