Lake Lanier Boat Accident Victims Obituary
They were on a long speedboat that overturned about 4 p.m. Friday.

Our parents meant the world to us, we never realized how much impact they had on people's lives. They both were such amazing, loving and caring parents, grandparents, children siblings and friends to so many. They were one of a kind and will truly be missed. The annual Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run event at Lake Lanier posted Friday on Facebook about the accident: "The Lanier Partners would like to send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the families of those involved in an accident on Lake Lanier today. The accident involved part of our poker run family and we are with heavy hearts tonight," the post read in part.

I would like to Thank Everyone for there kind words and prayers. I am Art McMahan's Oldest Sister he was my baby brother who I loved dearly. He started his business from nothing, now his name is known all over we are so proud of him. Never knew how many people knew him it was awesome and overwhelming at the same time made me proud for sure. He loves racing cars. He told me He Was Living The Dream last time I talked to him. I'm gonna miss our visits. Its been 2 months still dont believe it is real. I have alot of good memories with both of them. Mel was a beautiful person always smiling and being a nut. I miss them both so much never did I think they would have been taken away in such a tragic way. I thought something would of happened in his race cars not like this will never get over losing them like this so tragic.They flying high now our Angels they are up there with our Daddy. Thank you all again. . I didn't know the other couple but many prayers go out to there families. How do we deal with something like this. Not easy for any of us. I still have not gotten over the death of my Daddy he's been gone 14 yrs. Now he has his baby boy with him now. I Miss and Love You LiL Brother & Mel Always & Forever Big Sis

We Have Heavy Heart For The Loves Ones Of Both These Family....What A Tragedy..We Did Not Know Them...But After This Weekend We Feel Like We Know Them..We Was Parked At The Cheeseburger of Paradise Luncheon Beside Some Of Their Close Friend & Later The Next Day Meet Up With Them & They Share Their Love & Stories About Their Friendship...The Night It Happened We Noticed These People All Tore Up & On Our Last Night As We Walked Around Check Out The Super Nice Boats & Talking To The Owners & Their FRiends We Got To Talk To Them....The Ones That Was Crying So Hard After The Boat Accident ...They Shared Their Stories With US....75min Before The Wreck They Had ALL Been Hanging Out & A Few Weeks Before This...They Had Spend 3 Days With Them In Their House Boat....We Feel Like We Knew These People & Was Part Of The Boat Run Family...GOD BE WITH ALL OF YOU
The DNR Guy Told US... WELCOME TO LAKE LANIER AS HE WAS RESCUING US... As Our Pontoon Was SINKING Because Of The Way We Got In The RUFF WATER After We Watch The Parade Of Speed Boats...Everything Turned Out OK & We Was All Safe....But It Was SO SCARY.....WATER IS NOTHING TO DROP YOU GUARD DOWN....EVERYONE IS IN OUR THOUGHTS & PRAYERS
