Bob was our next door neighbor in Brookwood Hills in Atlanta. Of course, we didnt have a chance to see much of him, as he was always on the go! We were very sorry to hear about his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. He left quite a mark in the world & we know he will be greatly missed.

Dear Pastor family, Robert was a man on the go but we can now take comfort in he is now resting.?And I heard a voice out of heaven say: “Write: Happy are the dead who die in union with [the] Lord from this time onward. Yes, says the spirit, let them rest from their labors, for the things they did go right with them.” Rev.14:13

I am so sad and sorry to hear this. I was a summer intern at the Carter Center, working with Bob on the China Village Election project back in 1998. That experience and Bob's own career stories gave me confidence to study and work in the public policy field. He will be deeply missed.

I was so saddened to learn of Bob's illness and death. I've many fond memories of his helping Ben Jones when Ben was in Congress and later his work with Common Cause. His good humor in the midst of tough issues will be missed.
