My prayers to the family. Bishop Sailor was a man with a generous heart. He would help anyone. I admired his spirit. He is already missed. Vanessa Jackson

Will miss my former classmate from H. M. Turner and Frederick High Schools. Will remember the radio broadcast booth in the school cafeteria. Waiting for the bus to pick us up after school at Turner in the eight grade. Remember how smart and articulate Ronnie was. The life he lived spoke for him. My heartfelt condolences to his family during this most difficult time.

Any friend, partner and trailblazer of Dann Sikes is someone I must stop and honor in respect. Dann, Janice
and family will always hold a
special place for me. God Bless Ron and thank you God that he and Dann's powerful
work can continue for us. Peace unto your soul eternally Ron.

Prayers go up for the Sailor family. My late husband Dann Sikes(NBC-TV) worked closely with Ron(WIGO)in the 1980's to get radio and television stations to open up to African Americans. Journalists in Atlanta hopefully will research the work Ron did for media in our city. Ron always a family man worked with our children and his own to make public school education work for the better. He and Dann rocked the media boat together. God bless the family and friends of our pioneer co-founder of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. Sincerely, Janice Sikes Rogers, Tupelo, MS and Atlanta,GA

May the god of all comfort the family during this time of sorrow. " Those who die, God keep in his memory because they are precious in his eyes." (Psalms 116:15)

Ronnie was a friend of mine . . . we were among the first wave of African American students at Emory University. He had a great personality. He will be missed.
