Family-Placed Death Notice
BOSTICK, Roslyn ROSLYN KIRBY BOSTICK A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Roslyn Kirby Bostick, of Marietta, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church, Rev. Dr. Kenneth E. Marcus, Eulogist. The remains will lie instate in the main sanctuary for viewing from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in the Kennesaw Memorial Park. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 6, 2012, from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM and the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for a formal visitation. Those mourning her passing, yet rejoicing having shared her life, include a loving and devoted husband, Keith D. Bostick and daughters Kirbe D. and Kelli D. Bostick of Marietta, Ga., mother, Margaret Kirby, Newnan, Ga., six sisters, LaDoris (Leroy) James, Augusta, Ga., Barbara Kirby, Decatur, Ga., Alice Marie Robinson, Buffalo, NY., Jennifer Kirby, Decatur, Ga., Kathleen Kirby, Buffalo, NY., Cynthia (David) Drayton, College Park, Ga.; two brothers, Andrew Kirby, Newnan, Ga., Alton Kirby Jr., Decatur, Ga.; mother-in-law, Ruth Bostick-Owens, Savannah, Ga., father-in-law, Alfred Owens, Savannah, Ga., godchild, Naomi Smith, Silver Springs, MD. and a host of caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Roslyn, I am still remembering you. I miss you so much and I can't understand why you had to go. The spring is here again and I am missing you more. I miss your laughter, your smile. I was so looking forward to seeing Roslyn at our Spelman Reunion only to return from Spring Break and see that she was laid to rest on my birthday. Roslyn was a wonderful sister and I thought of her often down through the years. I pray that God will sustain the family during this time.
