I was not living in Macon when this tragedy occurred, so I was unaware of Mr. Solomon's death until a firefighter friend mentioned it to me today. I was moved to tears. Time passes and grief eases, but I know your hearts are still very broken without him. Nearly six years later, please know that your brave Steven is not forgotten. I am thankful for the devotion that firefighters bring to their line of work, and for the sacrifices they make every day so that we may be safe. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My prayers for comfort to the Solomon family. I did not know Steven but felt a need to share my thoughts with the family. Special people touch others in many ways and I guess Steven wanted me to share my prayer with the family. Respectfully,

My heart breaks for the Solomon family. My husband is a full time Firefighter in Massachusetts, and I know too well the dangers they face every day. This brave man lost his life doing the job that he as well as my husband and all Firefighters do because it is their passion to save. Rest well brave soldier..

To the Solomon family: May the comfort from family and friends continue to strengthen you, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
