What s World Class Guy! Dean of Men at GSU - Coach to some men that later reached their own Greatness - Tim Singleton called my house two days before the 1st Peachtree Road Race, talked with my Mom and told her to bring me to Buckhead to run in the Race with my fellow runners from Metro Atlanta. He handed my Mom that Carling Brewing Shirt just before the race started even though I hadn't registered yet and I ran all the way to the Henry Grady Statue downtown, I'm in the pictures of the event, but I'm not on the roster with official seventy. Tim was a Georgia Tech Athlete, a teacher, a mentor to all, and he knew the value of a terrific smile and a warm handshake. Haven't we been blessed to have him in our lives!!!!!

Mr. Singleton, as we called him at Lovett many years ago, was an excellent teacher and an inspiration to us. He encouraged me to challenge myself! I've never forgotten him and am sorry at his passing. My best to all of his family,

Tim was one of the good ones; a hurdler turned distance runner to boot. I'm so sorry.

I just wanted to offer my most sincere condolences to Martha and the rest of the Tim Singleton family. I considered Tim to be a real friend and a true supporter of our university's choral program - I always appreciated his very kind and gracious comments. We will miss you, buddy. Rest in peace.
