I lost my Bulldog Lindsey to Cancer in April,2010. She was 12. I found some comfort to know she was no longer suffering any pain. Bulldogs don't show pain; they are Champions. You are a Champion UGA VIII and I hope you and Lindsey meet up in Heaven.

UGA VIII--There are no words to express the sense of loss in your passing. A bulldog isn't like any other dog. Your breed brings much more to a family and a college. You had only a short time but you made us proud. you're built like our 1 1/2 year old baby bulldog, Harley. He is my best friend and goes with me everywhere I can take him. He's brightened the lives of many people just as you did. Harley is our 4th bulldog. Fergie, Daisy, and Bo are in Heaven with you and I hope you can meet up and play with them. They will understand why we loved them so much. Rest in Peace, kind and noble little man. You will be remembered with love and I'm so sorry I never got to meet you. We were blessed to have you for a short time and you were very handsome.

I am a proud Gamecock fan but also a pet lover and hate to hear of any animal's demise, especially to such a terrible disease. I had heard of the UGA VIII replacement, but as far as I know, none of the local newspapers gave any reason. Very sorry for Georgia's loss of such a beloved mascot.

UGA VIII---Our family are dog lovers and DAWG lovers. Sorry that you had only a short time to grace the hallowed sidelines in Athens. You are out of pain and for that we are grateful.
Our condolences go to your family.

We are Gators, but we were truly shocked and devastated by UGA's death. We are obviously animal lovers and have always loved the tradition and history of the UGA family. We send our heart felt condolences to the whole UGA and Bulldog nation. We look forward to seeing the next future UGA in Jacksonville in 2011.

We are proud to have had Big Bad Bruce as the mascot of the Bulldog Nation, although his time was much too short. You did a great job and we will miss you. Prayers go out to your family as I know they are devastated at your loss. Uga VIII, you are a Damn Good Dog, just like your forebearers.
