Though I never met Vanessa, she left a mark on my life forever. I obsessively read her stories on Vansdolltreassures as a kid (who was definitely too young for some of them LOL) and now I´m a grown woman with a daughter of my own, and I think fondly of those characters and miss Vanessa often to this day. I was 16 when she passed away and heartbroken as I am today at 22. Vanessa may you continue to rest in peace.

I have been thinking of you lately. I caught myself wondering about Rod and Danielle and wishing that their story could continue and I remembered how much Vanessa loved those characters she created! Miss you very much!

I often think fondly about you and continue to miss your online presence, but I know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Continue to rest peacefully, Vanessa.

Vanessa left an indelible mark on so many people, but particularly the Doll Collector community. We miss her creativity and her storytelling. She left a void which no one can ever fill. We miss our friend Vanessa and all the Van Doll adventures. Thinking of you...Rest In Peace Sweet Lady!

I never met her. But she was my doll family. she shared bits of her life through her blog, and it is from her that I learnt that playing with dolls was not something I had to stop doing just because I was out of my childhood. Her strength and fortitude continue to inspire me. I will miss her. Rest in peace Vanessa

Before I found Vanessa's blog, I was really depressed most of the time. Her stories cheered me up and I started getting interested in dolls again. One day I decided to make her a present for how much she's helped me and it was the first time I sewed a doll outfit. It made me so happy that she loved it. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have realized I had a talent. I hope her doll fans up in Heaven are enjoying her blogs. Thank you Vanessa.

I thank God that Vanessa entered my life initially in 2005 when she was a porcelain doll maker, allowing me to share her artist profile in Black Doll-e-zine. We lost contact afterward, but five years later, Vanessa invited me to visit and follow her blog. So impressed with her doll stories, videos, and overall talent, in 2011, we began working on an article about her that was published in the 2012 Autumn Americana issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly. I thank God even more that our friend, who shared our passion for dolls so creatively is no longer suffering. She is now truly free.

Rest and create peacefully in paradise, dear Vanessa. I will always remember you.

Although I never met Vanessa in person, I knew her through her blog and via email for the past 5 years and considered her a friend. Vanessa taught me to play with my dolls and not just display them. She brought her dolls to life in her stories and those of us who read her stories often thought of her characters as real people!

Vanessa inspired me and many others with her unending positivity, her amazing skills and her ability to excel at everything she tackled. I was amazed at her energy to try new things and her zest to live life to its fullest. She has made an everlasting impact on my life. I am so happy to be the proud owner of doll furniture and clothing that she made.

Rest now in the peace of God's grace, my friend. I will miss you and I know so many others in the doll community will too!

I didn't know Vanessa personally, but to the doll community she was well known. I loved reading her blog, viewing her dioramas and getting inspiration thru her stories. She continued with her stories and collections even though she wasn't feeling well.

I will miss her stories but I know she is resting in God's arms.
