I was saddened to hear of your loss. Bill was a wonderful friend and coworker of my late husband Jim, who passed away on March 2nd this year. We enjoyed going to meetings and get-togethers with Bill.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family in their loss.

Even though coach Armistead was only 26 years old he was a father figure to many of his students and players. Gordon was a special time for me and my brother Don. He will be missed. Donnell Smith

Mr. Armistead was one of the finest individuals I ever knew. When he first came to Tucker High, you knew he was special. Every student respected him. He was a special friend of my Dad's and they attended GA games together. Mr. Armistead was there when my father passed away and my mother passed away. He was an icon, a very, very good person. He will be missed.
