James "Sam" Donahue, 86, of Omaha, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
James Eugene was born on May 8, 1926. He Served 40 years in the United States Navy and retired with military honors as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He was also a former Nebraska State Athletic Commissioner. He is survived by three step children and their families, and one niece and one nephew.
Services for Jim will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at noon, at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 106 West 6th Street in Atlantic. The rosary and visitation will be held an hour before the service at noon. Following the funeral mass, there will be a committal service at the Atlantic Cemetery with military services by the
Atlantic Color Guard.

Jim came into our lives 46 years ago. It has been an adventure, the sorrow we are feeling today is eased by the joy and happiness from the loved ones who will be waiting for him on the other side.
