To the Dear Maness Family,

My Mother recently made me aware of Mrs. Maness's passing and by this picture here it is evident she was just as beautiful now as she was during my youth. I grew up along Taylor Street in Downtown Augusta near where Trinity CME Church was originally and historically located on 8th Street, and I used to play with her and Rev. Maness's son and daughter on the church swings and in the churchyard quite often so many years ago. Growing up in Macedonia Baptist Church in Augusta, I never attended Trinity CME as a member but always admired the stature of the church in our community. We lost contact, but I never forgot how so very welcoming and kind the entire Maness family was to this child of the neighborhood and obviously still is. I remember how endearing and stunningly beautiful Mrs. Maness was, and it was so, so noticeable how much she adored her children and husband and they her. That was many years ago, as my family and I have moved from that neighborhood. I remember those days quite fondly as well as Mrs. Maness's most beautiful smile. Her face and presence radiated the love of God and that emanated through the kindness and love of her husband and children as well.

We send you our love at this time of bereavement due to her transition from labor to reward. I'm a witness to the fact that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal and cure. May you find true comfort and consolation in these words.

With our deepest condolences,
Dr. Earl Stewart, Jr., and Family

Mrs Maness gone to a much better place but never forgotten.Mrs.Catherine was such an wonderful person whom I came to know as I was her clinical Manager and provided care for.Mrs.Maness would have encouraging words to offer me.She told me that I was a blessing to be there at the clinic.I remember praying over her and letting her know that I would be there for her.I would pray as she asked me to or even when she did not ask me.We just such a spiritual connection that really resonated among us.Her smile was just so devine. I remember after spending time with her she would always day Angela you are just what I needed to talk to and she would thank for carving out time to talk.I loved talking to Mrs Maness she was just full devine wisdom and loved sharing the word of God with me and vice versa. Mrs
Catherine I will carry in my heart and all of the conversation and prayers that we shared until we meet again in heaven .love you.
