Claude to me was always Papa. He was the greatest grandfather in all the world. No man could ever be as great as Papa was to me. He would always call me his " Sug". I remember the times of when we rode in the tractor toget her on the farm, and teaching me how to make a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Or working in the garden together, and bottle feeding the baby calves. We loved eating sweets, and reading the comic section in the newspaper every Sunday morning while eating Bojangle sausage biscuits with syrup. Papa taught me how to write in cursive, along with so many more life lessons. I remember how he would always take a nap in his chair and tell me he's just resting his eyes. His smile was so bright, it made the sun seem so dark. I will always enjoy looking back at the time Papa and I went to the Masters on Father's day. I would never leave Papa's side when I was there. I remember when Papa didn't get upset with me when I got his truck hung up in the mud on the farm. I will never forget that moment either. We always had fun at the beach houses over the years as well. He loved his boat too, as well as the Georgia Bulldogs. These and so many more memories I will always cherish to the end. I love you Papa. I will miss you deeply.

My thoughts and prayers for all the family - have known Claude Gary my whole life and he was a fine man. His grandfather delivered me. His entire family was loved and treasured in his home town of McCormick SC. Rest in Peace, my friend.
