Saddened to hear of Clyde's passing. He was such a sweetheart and was fiercely loyal and kind to those he loved. He was an expert at his craft and such a lover of animals. Love to you Mike and many prayers. I will miss Clyde's laugh, wit, and stories. I had so hoped to play tennis with him one day. I know he is at peace but he will be missed much. All the Pope girls send their love to Mike and family.

Clyde you will be greatly missed. Your talent was undeniable, your personality was truth at all cost and always protected friends and family. I have been knowing you and Mike for about 30 years now and I know how deeply you cared for Mike. Several phone conversations through the years taught me of your devotion to Mike and others. You were indeed a unique individual who truly told everyone what they needed to hear and not just what they wanted to hear! Your heart was so big and only those of us who really knew you knew how sensitive and caring you were. I cannot believe you are gone - RIP my dear friend and know that I loved you as did so many others.
Mike - our life will be emptier now without our Clyde but I want you to know you can call on me for anything or nothing. I love you Mike - you were the rock and the glue that kept it all going. My prayers are for you now -I know Clyde's faith has carried him to be with our Lird and Savior. Many may not know that but you and I know it.

Clyde and Mike were the first friends I made when I moved here 20+ years ago. They've always been a part of my Augusta life. Good hearts, both of them, although some didn't know that about Clyde. His heart was as big as his loud ol' laugh! Clyde, you are loved and will be missed by many. Mike, I love you! Clyde was so lucky to have you!

Clyde was always fun-loving and caring. We muddled through dating in junior high in Everett, MA and forged a friendship instead! My only comfort in his passing is to know that he will be reunited with his loving Mother, Lanie, whom he (and all us kids) loved and respected so much. He was heartbroken when she passed and now his heart will stay full with her love, and ours! Rest in peace, my friend. Condolences to you, Mike. Thanks for being there all these many years. Stay strong.

Mike you are in my prayers. As for Clyde, he will be truly missed. He was my therapist on many occasions and when I left the shop I always felt better. He always knew what to do to lift me up. Between Mike and Clyde they always had me laughing. As my daughter would say " Clyde was sassy". We loved that about him! When I think about him being gone I can't believe it. You are and forever will be missed.

Clyde, what can I say? You were always the one of many words. I have a deep sadness in my heart at the loss of you. I have known you since I was 15 years old and you have been my closest friend ever since. Always loving me, even when I was wrong, and especially when I didn't love myself. You had a deep spirituality, and perhaps, knew me better than I knew myself. You were candid, and your words of wisdom were always right on time. If you had to love me from a distance, you did, but I always knew you were there for me. When you loved someone, you loved with all you had. And that is how you always loved me. Mike, he loved you so much! No more suffering -he is at peace now. Finally with his mother and his beloved, Max. Heaven has gained a mighty angel. Until we meet again my dear friend.... I Love You Always

For Clyde,
A man of many words
A soul full of life enough for two
A heart just as big
A talent that rose above all others
A word to heal a friend whispered
A sharp tongue never dull
A wit beyond wits
A laughing smile to remember his face
My heart filled with memories of years past
With a place and time that cemented our friendship as it was then
Rest Now My Dear Friend.
Much love to you Mike.

Clyde has been my friend for a long time. Although there were times when we didn't see each other as often, it was always like "family" when we reunited. We always had fun when at the beach or just watching television together. We enjoyed the same shows. We enjoyed talking to each other and listening to each other's views. He was a master of his craft, and I was always delighted with the way he fixed my hair. We shared a love for animals, and he did indeed love his babies. There will be a very large gap now in my life. I shall miss my friend, Clyde, very much, and I know many others will, too.
