Oh, Elsie--your brave and adventurous spirit, your wide-open smile and welcoming arms--what a wonderful legacy you have left to your fellow DB graduates and to your family. We have always felt your warmth, and feel it still. Godspeed.

My husband and I had the pleasure of serving with Elsie in Africa. To say she was amazing is an understatement. She could dance until the sun came up and always had a smile and encouraging words. We are so thankful for having known her!

Elsie was a great spirit and all of my images of her have a smile attached. We graduated together in high school and she remains one of those persons who would be easily recognizable even after 60 years. Rest in peace Elsie fully embraced by the love of those who knew you.
