so sad to hear of the passing of this great individual. I worked with him at Ruetgers and he was also full of wisdom and wit. He will truly be missed

Cousin Jim, I thank God for the time we shared in our Sylvania Family gatherings and for all you did to help me become a doctor when I interviewed at MCG in Augusta. Your home was truly a warm place and Cousin Marietta made it extra special. I write this for Cindy and Terry to know how special their parents were to me. You all are forever in our hearts. --Catrell

First my deepest of sympathies to the family. You are all in my prayers. Mr. Cave was like a father to me, we spent many of days/evenings sitting on the back his truck talking about everything. I lived right across the street from him and Mrs. Cave. Many of my own life lessons were taught on the back of his truck. We had many laughs and sorrows on the back of his truck. We all loved Mr. Cave, he always had an encouraging word and a word from the wise. He will definitely be missed. To you my friend and the back of the truck. We essentially were tailgating...Darlene Tyson The back of the truck was the gathering place for all of the neighbors that lived across from Mr. Cave. Every evening after work we all met there to relieve the stresses of the day or just have a good laugh before turning into our own homes for the night. The next day we did it all over again. James Cave was a wonderful man with a heart full of love, " Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. I will truly miss him. God's will has been done!
