Dad I am thinking of you today. I can't believe it has been a year since you have left us. I love you very much and will always remember the memories you left me with being a great father ,husband, and a friend to many. I'Il see you later and I love you Dad.

Jan, completed an out-of-the-blue search for you today and found your obituary. I'm sorry to hear the world has lost your sense of humor, love for life and compassion for everyone you met. While it's been years since we worked together, I've not forgotten your positive look at life and the kindness provided during rough times. Rest in peace my friend. Patsy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Dearest Jan,

The intensity in which I miss your presence is immeasurable. I love you so very much. I cannot imagine life without you. Each day only brings with it more sadness. I did not know those kisses, hugs, and telling you how much I loved you before your ablation procedure would be the last time I would speak with you. We shared so many memories. I do not want just memories. I want to hold you closely again and spend my today and my tomorrows with you. Love never lets go. We shared both happy and sad times. We survived the hurdles of life together. You are such a special person. You were so kind. You cared deeply about your friendships and had an endless devotion to them. I feel lost and alone. I know you are in heaven and know how much everyone misses you. Eric and Ian want their Dad back. They also love and miss you so much. Least we forget Boo Boo and Harley. I know they don't understand why you haven't come home. Take special care my dear husband and friend. I will see you again one day, God willing. Peace be with you.

LOVE ALWAYS, Patsy.

I love you Pus. Seeing you immediately became a special occasion. Our years on the track team bonded us forever. Forty-five years of knowing you was a blessing from God, tell him I said hello.

Jan and I shared some great adventures during our years at The Citadel. He was a happy and friendly person and one of the kindest persons I ever met. Although we did not keep in touch after graduation, it came as no surprise when years later I learned he was coaching and mentoring kids. No doubt he was a positive influence on many young lives. May he rest in peace. A life well lived.

Jan- You will be missed by all of the lives that you touched during your time on earth. As stated by other Citadel '71 Classmates you were a friend and a brother my friend. The Citadel, the State of South Carolina and the United States of America are a better place because of you.
