I signed Jimmy's guestbook one day too early and before I read his complete obituary the following day. I didn't realize that he was an Army Veteran and that was a perfect occupation for him as was his time as Drill Sgt. I previously mentioned how fearless that he was as an athlete and I'm totally sure that he was the same in serving and protecting his country. I wish that I could truly thank Jimmy for his service to our Country and I'm so thankful that he was on Our side. To me he had the makings of a natural-born Hero! Again rest in Peace, my Friend.

May God's grace, through Jesus Christ, bless and comfort the Roland Family during their Loss and beyond.
Jimmy and I were friends, classmates and teammates at Butler High School, Class of 1968.Jimmy was a great high jumper in track and won the State Track Meet's Gold Medal his senior year with a leap of 6-feet 3-inches. He had his own unique style of jumping and I have never seen any other quite like it. He was a fearless competitor and will be greatly missed at our 50th HS reunion in May. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Go rest high on that mountain Jimmy! We are gonna miss you. But we will see you again one day. You always made me smile. Signed #1 of Franklin and Jean's. (inside joke) I love you! Freda
