To the Family of John,

I have wonderful memories from the YMCA in Pawtucket, RI and as I look back on it I see the John was the reason. I had not thought of John in years but it all came back to me. There was the leader program, the achievement awards and the values that were taught.

My condolences to all of John's family.
He was a good man and wonderful mentor to many young people at the Y

To David and all John's loving family. I am so very sorry for the deep loss you are suffering at this time, yet in faith, we know that God will unite us, once again, with our loved ones for all eternity.
Take comfort in your memories, in one another, and in knowing with "blessed assurance" that John now sings with the heavenly choir.

Mr. Azevedo,
May you R.I.P playing music with the Angels in heaven now.
I was a chorus student from 1977 until I graduated in 1981. He was a wonderful chorus teacher with a big smile on his face everyday, but when it came to music he got serious and that is why he was so respected by his students. Plus he told me I had a beautiful voice, but I was shy and I couldn't do solo at first Mr. Azevedo gave me the courage to do it and show me how to love music.
Thank you for what you did for me these memories will stay in my heart forever....
God Bless....
