NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Ms. Katherine Hannah Williams entered into rest December 2, 2015 at Atlanta Medical Center South. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Williams was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Paine College and Cambridge University. She was a retired educator from the Richmond County Board of Education, having taught in Kentucky, Aiken County and the Richmond County schools systems. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church where she served on the pastor's aide ministry and as church clerk for several years. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Johnson; two sons, Kelvin Williams and Marlus (Hope) Williams; two sisters, Geneva Stevens and Mollie Christopher; two brothers, Grady Hannah and Walter Hannah; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call the residence of Roslyn Williams, 1009 Todd Avenue, North Augusta, S.C. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. G. L. Sorry that we were unable to celebrate your Mother's life with you today, but you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. She was our classmate at Paine College (1962-1966), and we were looking forward to seeing her at our 50th Year Reunion Celebration in May of 2016. We will remember her at that time.
