Dorothy and family- I will never forget the kindnesses and compassion your husband and father shared with me years ago as a young person at LCC. I attended the church on my own and came to know The Lord one Sunday evening as Peter shared the gospel message. His and your family's acceptance of me had such an enormous impact on me. I remember learning later that Pastor Letchford had also visited my mother in the hospital during a very rough time. He held no judgement just love for others. I rejoice in his life and the impact it had on me and my family. My sincerest condolences to all of you as I know you will miss his presence yet rejoice that he has entered God's.

I'll always remember Pastor Letchford reading the Christmas story to the children at church growing up. My thoughts are with this family and I rejoice that he is Home!

Dearest Dorothy & Family,
As I was at the computer this afternoon, Peter and you came to mind, I googled as I had not been able to reach you in the past year, and discovered Peter just passed. Oh how my heart grieves, yet rejoices in the assurance that my dear friend, mentor, and brother is in the presence of the Lord. You both are often in my memory and warm thoughts of years together in ministry and fellowship. I'm sorry we've been out of touch in recent years, but please know you are loved and always deeply appreciated and cared for. Thank you for your part in my life, your selflessness, concern for me, and testimony of faithfulness. I have so much to reflect back upon, from the days at Loudonville, to the visit in England, (I can still recall driving w/ Peter hoping he still remembered which lane to drive in!), wonderful fellowship with dear friends from the church and student disciples you influenced and impressed with a joyful walk with our Savior. Peter's officiating at my wedding was a sweet gift and I'll always cherish your humble, gracious and faithful service to the kingdom. You are in my prayers during these days of remembering our Lord's birth. How appropriate that Peter is celebrating Christmas with the One whose birthday we celebrate during these days. Blessings on you all.
