STAPLETON, Ga. - James Lee Sanders, Sr., 79, loving husband of the late Margaret Sanders, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson County Memorial Gardens. James was also preceded in death by his son, Russell James Sanders; parents Leo and Mabel Smith Sanders; and six siblings. Survivors include his children, Kathy Lambert (Hugh) and James Sanders, Jr.; three siblings, Carolyn Shockley, Evelyna Joles and Dee Hamilton; six grandchildren, April Parker (Scott), Jason Lambert, Maggie Harris (Ron), Katie Sanders, Rusty Sanders and Amy Walden (Chris); thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Mark Covington, Greg Davis, Joe Davis, Craig Manseau, Bill Perry and Wesley Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Micheal Williams.
