I met Richard in 1957 in Augusta GA, through Roger Coleman, a neighbor and super electronics nerd. We learned electronics together at an early age. I moved to Atlanta, and a few years later Richard came here to work for ND. We later became neighbors again. I worked for an airline, and could fly free, and it was not unusual to get a call from London or Saint Thomas, where he would a few days free while waiting for a part, and had another bed in the hotel room, free for me to use. We also flew a small plane to Bimini, then to Key West to visit his parents. We had a lot of good times together, and I shall miss him very much.

I spoke to him on the phone many times over the last 4 years and exchanged e-mails several times a week. I am truly grateful he called me; we made peace with each other. I will miss our conversations-he had my heart when we met and always will. He knew that and I know he is resting in peace. [email protected]

I worked with Richard at GE Medical Systems. He was a wonderful person and I enjoyed his fish photos/stories. Never forgotten, always loved.

While living in Augusta Richard was one of my best friends. Always with a smile and witty thoughtful stories. I last saw him in Atlanta in the mid 80's where he met my husband and children. Have thought of him so many times and am so sad about his passing. Heart felt prayers to all the family.
