Our dearest, eldest brother has made his transition into the realm of The Most High and the Ancestors. Surely, he has been embraced into the loving, warm arms of his beloved mother and all who went before him. My hero brother, you have won the battle and you have done your sacred duty. Rest well and be at peace. We will always honor, respect and love you.

Once again God saw the road was getting rough, and the road of life had become too hard to for SGM Robert Ernest Tabb, to travel and called him home. There is nothing that anyone can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in time of sorrow, but the NCO Corps will offer our heartfelt condolences and prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of these heroes will carry through each day and night. The NCO Corps thanks him for his selfless service act and his willingness to defend the United States of America and all that we hold sacred. Though tears can never bring him back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that they made and our sorrow at his passing. Additionally, the NCO Corps thanks everyone for keeping him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. There are many in the ranks that believe for every fallen sergeant major like him there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift God has given the Corps. Rest easy, sleep well my brother. Know the line was held, your job is done. Rest easy, sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Peace, peace, and farewell
