I had the honor of knowing Mrs. Workman from Pine Hill Baptist Church. What a blessing! She was faithful to attend church...and had her favorite spot...and no one better sit there. :>) What a beautiful lady...never neglecting her appearance. She will be missed. Wishing you God's peace and comfort.

To the Workman Family,

Your Mom was in our Sunday School Class here at Pine Hill & just wanted to let you all know that a lot of our members were at Mrs. Workman's funeral today. It was our honor to have been there for that beautiful lady. I too drove her & Mr. Bill to Sunday School & church when Jeanette Turner could no longer do it while they were still living in Goshen. It was my pleasure and we all will miss her. She truly was a lovely lady and a true example of what a Christian mother should be. I know you all take happiness in knowing she and Mr. Bill are together again for eternity. All of you are in my prayers & our Sunday School class is donating to the Guyandotte Baptist Church in her memory.

The Workman family,
My husband Alan and I Met Mrs.Ruby and Mr. Bill at Pine Hill Baptist Church many years ago,She was a Beautiful(inside and out), True Southern Lady.. acute storty about Mrs. Ruby~ We were at a Church get together and I had cut a piece of Mrs. Ruby's Cake for my husband and I knowing that many people were eyeing this beauty of a cake... I cut a small piece so others might have a taste. Seeing this, Mrs. Ruby walked right over and Cut my husband a huge piece of Cake and said Honey that is no southern piece of cake you cut... of course My Husband was forever taken with Mrs.Ruby from that day on. We Loved and admired her and Mr. Bill and Know they are Happily together again. I know that their legacy lives on in their Wonderful Family.
God Bless you all.

We love you and will miss you so much Grandma! We have so many wonderful memories of our childhood with you and Grandpa. You were such a loving and caring Grandmother and always looked beautiful. We are so glad we got to spend time with you at our family reunion this past August and to celebrate your 99th Birthday. You will be missed terribly but we know you are in a better place and with Grandpa once again. We love you very much,
Your Loving Grand Daughter, Erica and Jeff, Lauren and Jake

My first encounter with Mrs. Workman was at our first church homecoming at Guyandotte. She approached me and grabbed my hand and said. "honey do I know you". I said no I don't know think so, and I explained we had only been attending the church a few months. After I explained where we lived she asked if I knew Maude Cozort. I told her that we had purchased the property across from Maude. We soon became fast friends and every year when this wonderful lady would come in for homecoming we always took time to speak. My deepest condolences to the family.

To Ruby Workman's Clan

To one & all may the Lord keep you in his care! For the many years of being in touch I so regret not being able to visit with Ruby! Her cards always made me happy & my reminiscing of Christmas pasts came to mind. I will always cherish the times we connected! Loving thoughts to all! Ruby your idea of Donating to Jesse Church I will soon do!
