Don's gentle, persistent adherence to fundamental spiritual principles, and his willingness to share them, provided a lifeline to so many in need! He made such a positive difference with his life and will be sorely missed. Prayers and gratitude for the family.

Mr. Don and I went to the same church in North Augusta. For some reason, he took a liking to me and my family. Back in 2012, he contacted me one day, and asked me why I had never completed my education. I told him that I hadn't due to having five kids and no money. He told me that if I wanted to go back to school, he would pay for it.

So, I did, and he contributed a major portion of my school bill. I completed my education at Anderson University and obtained my Bachelor's Degree. This has enabled me to start a new ministry that is focused on trying to keep kids from falling to the temptations of drugs and alcohol. This type of ministry was near and dear to his heart.

I could never repay Mr. Don for what he did for me and my family. But, in his honor, I can pay it forward and try to help someone be an overcomer. Rest in peace, Mr. Don, we love and appreciate you. You will never be forgotten.

Don will be missed. He was a good man who could explain simple concepts to complicated people; at least to me. I'm sure he won his angel wings!

Don was always such a gentleman; quiet spoken with much wisdom. Enjoyed trudging the road to happy destiny along the way. Go rest high on that mountain!

I met Don twenty six years ago and he always greeted me with a kind word and his humble presence. I will think of him often and send my thoughts and prayers to his family and close friends.

Mr. Lemmons was a special man who sold hats, etc. to our business for over 40 years. He was like clockwork. He became a close friend and will be missed. How he loved to talk about gardening!! We will be praying for the family during this sad time.

I met Mr. Lemmons 9 years ago, in 2008, via his Son, the late Christopher B. Lemmons. CHRIS was beset with, and fighting various health problems and other social ills, and he became not only a client but a close friend who I took into my home. Don entrusted me with a monthly stipend and income to take care of Chris and we became friends, almost like family. I will sorely miss Mr. Lemmons and hope that he made it home to meet God, and to once again see and dwell with his Son Chris. Thank you Mr. Lemmons for treating me like a family member. I miss you sir.
