AUGUSTA, Ga. - Wannette Hughes Garner, 77, entered into rest on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Doctor's Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chad Mallard, James Mallard, Adam Mallard, Paul Hughes, Jr., Andrew Hughes and Billy Mims. She was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Walsteen and Margaret Jernigan Hughes. She was a past member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church and a retired Real Estate Instructor. She was preceded in death by a son, James B. Mallard, Jr. Survivors include her sons, Arthur Hugh Mallard (Sherry) of Girard, GA and Royce "Mike" Webb of Augusta; brother, Paul Hughes, Sr., (Mary) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Chad Hughes Mallard, James Ben Mallard, Adam Christopher Mallard and Angel Nicole Mallard and great-grandchildren, Jayme Ann Mallard and Dylon Olson Mallard.
