I am saddened to hear of Darrell's passing and like many will miss him dearly. He was a true and loyal friend over these many years. I always appreciated his extra efforts to keep in touch with his fellow classmates and his commitment to the Class of 1966. Our blessings go out to his family for comfort during this difficult time. Guadalupe Reyes, Jr.

Will always remember you Darrell as a friend and co-worker at wonderful Wal-Mart. You went to school with my husband Gerald (Jerry) Graver and his close friend Jerome (Jerry) Kammes. Our boys went to school also, how funny the way the world works. The Kammes family and I wish your family our condolences.

Thanks for the memories, Darrell. You were a good brother-in-law, a good driving instructor, and a good husband to my sister. I never saw you lose your temper with your children and you were, by all accounts, a faithful husband. You were a man of few words for most of your life, but toward the end, I think you realized there were things you wanted to say, and say them you did. When you spoke, everybody knew where you stood. You will be missed. You were the genuine article.

I had the good fortune to meet with Darrell in these last couple of years at a kind of reunion of East Aurora Wrestlers that Darrell organized. Darrell called me and invited me to attend a reunion celebration with our former wrestling coach Don Govonni. We managed to contact Jamie Bennavides, Angelo Testoni, Ron Spanu, and a couple of other former Tomcat Wrestlers. We lifted a few beers and told a couple of more lies about our amazing successes on the wrestling mats in our glory years. It was a great time. Thank you Darrell for bringing us togehter. It was a great time. We will all miss you and your great humor.
