Barbara K. Edmonson, 81, of North Aurora, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2015 at her home. She was born December 29, 1933 in Naperville, Il Barbara worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Fermilab. She was a member of the Aurora Women's Club. She volunteered with Fox Valley Orchestra and The Paramount Theater. She is survived by her two children, James (Meghan) Edmonson, Mary Safiran; five grandchildren, Christine (George) Poulos, Kimberly (Christopher) Roeloffs, Kristine Young, Dylan Edmonson, Emma Edmonson; a great grandchild, Mya Califf; a sister, Marjorie Hart; a sister-in-law, Anne D'arcy; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Katherine (Schmidt) Rife; her son-in-law, James Safiran; two brothers, Mark Rife and William Rife. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.
