I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of comfort (Psalms 83:18) give you the needed strength during this difficult time

I am Karen Strid Lang and my brother, Larry Strid, and I have such fond memories of "Farmer Jim" working our farm in the 50's and early 60's. We loved George equally as well as Elaine and Jim's and George's wives and the Bannister parents. We lived on the corner of Plainfield Road and 75th Street and Jim farmed our 120 acres for years with George. As kids, we loved both Jim and George and got in trouble with our mom when Jim let us ride on his tractor while he worked the field - we were gone too long. But we thought that Jim and George were just the greatest and they always were so good to us kids. Our neighborhood Christmas parties were wonderful - just our close neighbors. I can't remember all of the neighbors, but I'm sure that my brother, Larry, does. I recall the Burns, Sepplefricks, Bannisters, and then I draw a blank on the rest.
Jim was just the best! I am sure that he will be missed by many.
Sincere condolences to Jim's family.

Jim and his brother George worked our farm on Plainfield Rd. in Naperville all the years I lived there. There wasn't a couple of better guys. I love them and miss them.
