Every Christmas when I go shopping and see the Lifesavers candy books, I think of Johnny. He used to give one to all us kids every Christmas! Johnny was the most patient man I ever met. We would go into his store with a nickel thinking we were rich. He always waited patiently no matter how long it took to decide which candy we wanted to buy. I never ever remember him rushing us or being crabby. He made us feel like we were the most important people in the world.

He was a nice man always on his white apron. Always went in his store for his penny candy. For all the east side kids we appreciated him. Not only for him being nice and ploite, just for being Johnny
