Jacqueline and Family: Your mom was such a sweet lady. She gave me a scroll once at a women's ministry group gathering with a personal message written on it. I will treasure it forever. I'm so glad that this fall we were able to get together with her at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Those pictures will be my last tangible memory of her. Keep ever before you the hope of the resurrection.

To: (Sis) Jacqueline, Brianna & (Sis) Janelle, & family of Mrs. Pandora Gordon -

It is with a heavy heart for this difficult loss that you are experiencing right now in your lives, that I write this message to you. My heart aches that such a precious, loving, endearing gift from God...your mother, has passed on.

I am thankful that the pain she has endured from the sudden onset of her illness is over & that she is not asleep...in peace...awaiting Christ's return on-high.

Your mother loved you all her life with a fierce yet elegantly dignified & unquenchable fiery passion & immeasurable love, which she carried & exemplified for you all her days.

She blessed my mother with a beautiful friendship & support that stemmed from their days prior to nursing school together & working at the hospital together. - Though life brought about several ups and downs for both of them, they remained close in heart & thoughts whether near or far.

I will never forget the special love your mother extended to me, not only as the daughter of one of her dear friends, but as if I was one of her own flesh & blood. The loving kindness of her heart, her welcoming me into her life as a "daughter"... someone deeply treasured & precious to her, will continue to be cherished beyond mere words & resonate with me for the rest of my life.

It is now for you to carry-on in the seconds, minutes, hours, days, months & years ahead...when you will go from grieving now to moments of blessed & joyous reflection of all of the special blessings that having her as your mother (sister, grandmother, aunt, etc.) has brought to your lives to carry-on...knowing the strength, depth & breadth of her enduring love.

My heart also deeply aches because I was not able to be there with you in-person to mourn your loss with you, due to a severe bout with this terrible & persistent Flu virus that is attacking so many people right now. - However, please know that from the top to the bottom of my heart, I am with you in thoughts & prayers... asking God to give you all you need in strength & comfort to uplift & carry you through...with a peace...HIS merciful & gracious peace that passes all understanding, as you continue to journey on along this life's pathway(s). Take the measure of her love with you each day in your hearts, as I will, knowing in our hearts that God has promised us the Resurrection Day at His eminent Return to reunite us again some day...soon...in The Glory of Heaven.

I wanted to share with you my adaptation of a special writing I read recently & I pray it touches your heart in a very special way as it has mine:

'There are no Tears in Heaven, nor Grief of any kind.
She left a Final teardrop to all those left behind.
Though Absent from the body, she rests now...in wait of the Triumphant Return of our Lord.
The Joy of her salvation is now her Full Reward.'

I love you always, with an everlasting love...

Pandy was always kind and loving and loved in return. Patients always looked forward to seeing her. I have many fond memories of the years we worked together in dialysis. No mother was ever more proud of her children. I am so sorry for your loss.
