I met Bob on the first day I brought my mother to Alden Rehab facility. I pointed him out to her and said, he seems like a character. Next day, he invited her to sit at his dining table with Ray. The 3 of them loved to joke and laugh. They kept each other in high spirits. Bob became like a family member to us. I live 4000 miles away. Bob was my ears and eyes while I was gone. He watched out for my mother. I told people I have a Heaven sent angel looking after my mom. I wrote to Bob often. I spent many a hours with him listening to his stories. In the 6 short months we had Bob in our lives, he made such an impact on us. I'm so happy that the last time I spent time with Bob was having dinner with him and my mom, laughing and joking. I went back to the rehab with Bob and we sat and talked for another hour in his favorite TV room. I will miss him dearly. But, I am so very happy he is reunited with Suzanne. And he is now free of pain. Thank you Bob for being the kind soul you are. Much love and aloha.

Bob will forever be in my heart and always missed. He brightened many lives and made people laugh when they needed it the most. I hope I can adopt his fearless approach for living life into my own.
