Allan Westphal Obituary

Westphal, Allan
Allan died peacefully on January 28, 2015 in Gilbert, Arizona at the age of 77. He was born March 1, 1937 in Brownsville, Wisconsin to Harold and Irene Westphal. He completed his education at the University of Wisconsin while employed in the field of law enforcement. He met and married Janet Richie. He then began his career in advertising which took them from Madison, WI to Clearwater, FL, to Houston, TX and finally to Arizona. He had a long and successful career with U.S. West Direct retiring in 1999. Allan was an Army veteran who loved his family, his church, and his "yellow pages" and was proud of his German-American heritage.

He is survived by his loving wife Jan, his children: Stacy Westphal, Sherri Magnusson, and Daniel Richie; his grandchildren: Lance Richie, Coty Richie, and Kaila Richie; and his beautiful great-granddaughters: Olivia, Viollet, Ivy, and Xaria; his sisters: Marguerite Krebsbach, Janice Ernst, and Sylvia Hannahs, and his brother Dennis Westphal. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald and both of his parents.

A private service will be held in for family and close friends. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people who loved and cared for Allan at A-Z Assisted Living Homes, and Americare Hospice.

I worked with Allan for many years at US West Dex/Direct yellow pages in Phoenix. My sincere condolences to his family. Allan was always a very pleasant guy to work with. He was a great additon to our office.
