I have lost a friend. I always looked forward to seeing David when I'd go to Westchester to play music. David was always there with a Hello and a wise crack of some kind to put a smile on my face and to get the back and forth jabs started. He always asked me to play the 1812 Overture which he knew I could not do, but yet said it with a big smile and a chuckle. I did however make sure that I played the Pennsylvania Polka and Anchors Away for him. It just won't be the same for me to go there and not see David and have him razz me which he so loved to do. I'll miss our one on one talks we used to have while I was packing up my equipment. Thanks for being my friend David. I'll think of you often. I'll miss your razzing. I'll miss your crazy requests. But most of all, I'll just miss you. May God Bless you and your wonderful family. I'd tell you to rest in peace but I know you'll be too busy razzing someone new. Now you can find Tchaikovsky up there and have him play the 1812 Overture for you!

To the Beihl Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
