So sad about Doyne's passing. We lived next to Doyne for over 30 some years, never heard him say anything bad about anybody, not even a swear word ever slipped out. He was a great Christian man. I could never have had a better neighbor. God Bless, til we meet again. Prayers for Cindy and their family.

My condolences to the family of Doyne Cole. Doyne was a student of mine in the eighth grade my first year of teaching at Dyer Jr. high school. I also was Doyne's coach for 8th. and 9th. grade basketball, high school cross country and track and field. Doyne was an outstanding young man. He was a wonderful student and a real pleasure to coach. The last time I saw Doyne was several years ago when he stood on his dock at Lake Dalecarla waving to me as I passed his lake house in a fishing boat. He was one of the first athletes I coached and one of the best. I am saddened to hear of his death. What a fine human being. John Tennant

Doyne will always be remembered in our hearts. A true man of God in every sense. Always had the right thing to say or do, a born leader. We would really have had a hard time doing all the things we did at the Michigan City Light house if he was not there.
We have lost a wonderful man, but Heaven has gained a great new member.
To Cindy we offer our sincere sympathy for your loss. May God grant you peace in this time of sorrow.
