I remember meeting Eddie Basha at the old Bashas in Tri-City Mall he was a very nice man. He has always been an Icon in the valley of the sun helping out those in need. "We do have a friend" in the Basha family! Thank you for all the good memories.

I would like to send my condolences to the Basha Family. He was a great inspiration to me and my family, whom all work at Bashas'. My heartfelt thoughts & prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. May your memories comfort you and bring peace to your heavy hearts. All my Love, Melonnie

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Basha family. My family and I would not be here if it was not for the kindness and love Mr. Basha showed us. At one time my ENTIRE family worked for Mr. Basha and are very grateful for everything he did for us.

Thank you for setting the standard high in compassion and love for family and all around you. We shopped your stores and knew you were a good employer by the way your employees acted. You reached out to everyone, and will be remembered always. We send prayers to all the family and to the friends and associates who knew him more than we did. You were one of a kind. Thank you for all you did!

Eddie Basha commissioned a study many years ago on restoring ethics to the curriculum of Arizona schools. In the early 90's, as a state legislator, I called friends and supporters around the valley to chip in a thousand here or a thousand there to get this report out off the shelf and into action.
Eddie stopped in my office and I told him about my efforts. He looked at me, and with tears said, "Ben, you're really doing that? You should have called me. They need money? I could give them the money." Enjoy your new home, Eddie. We all miss you.

I, too, honor all that Eddie Basha stood for and did. He was a business mentor and advocate for all childrenand families. It was a privledge to call him "friend".
With love to all the family~

I am taller than Eddie Basha, but I always looked up to him. I got to know him in many ways, and yet not as well as many others. But I do know these things: His compassion for his fellow man and generosity is hardly matched; his heart, so big. His love for Arizona, undeniable. His focus on family, unfailing. His leadership, unparalleled. His understanding of the importance of education for our citizens and the need for reforms, unquestionable. To Nadine and the family, my heartfelt prayers, thoughts, and sincerest wishes for you to be able to bask in the glory of Eddie's memory, ergo his legacy. For all of the rest of us, Eddie is an Arizona icon we should never forget. At the Pearly Gates I know Eddie will be His designated "chubby grocer" greeter, and I look forward to hearing his greeting, "Hey, brother, how are you?" Gracias a dios para nuestro hermano. Vaya con dios, Eddie!! And tell Chapa 'Hola!"

There are few men of honor whose actions in life were always bigger than their words. Eddie Basha was one of those few. Rest now my friend.

My heart and prayers, are shared with Eddie's family and to all those lives he touched daily. He will forever be remembered and missed.
