I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. May your memories comfort your heart; and God help the Nichols family during this time of sorrow. Isa.41:13

Geno, I'm gonna' miss you! You are the friend I found in Scottsdale that kept me going during trying times; you are the friend who propped me up during times that were more-than-trying during family medical down-turns and travails; you are the friend who knew what I was saying before I said it, and understood the meanings
of my unexpressed anguish. You, Geno, were my friend and soul brother, and I am so very honored to have known you and to have enjoyed your friendship.

But, Geno...I have something else to say. I knew your secrets (fairly shallow I have to say!) and you knew mine (blackmail would have been possible, I realize). What I knew most though is that you always had my back, and hopefully I had yours, had you ever needed any backing. We exaggerated, we quipped, we minimized, we did all that stuff, but I feel that we were always sincere and honest with one another.

Geno, you were probably the most unique tennis player I've ever faced. Always you'd
shoot those wacky-doodle serves to me and others, then just grin with delight when we
couldn't reach them to return. In my case I'd call you a foul name (or something acceptable if there was a mixed doubles presence) and you'd not only win the point, you'd grin with satisfaction and some nefarious delight at having destroyed your opponent without having to chase or return a ball from me. You were the originator and master of the two-step rule, maximizing the use of a wave-off if and when needed to avoid chasing a ball.

You were usually a punctual person but you had a knack of showing up late for play
with the tennis group regardless of our start times. Now, when we all wish you could
have delayed matters, you left us all too early, my good friend. You will be sorely missed by many, especially by me. Adios, my good friend...hope God is embracing you with all the love you deserve!

Geno: I miss you already. Your bright smile and
positive outlook did it for all who knew you. The
world is less warm, fun and funny without you.
Your unique tennis shots and quips at coffee
were a kick. Was great to see you being so kind
to all around you. You were special.!
Blessings to your family & close ones.
May your next existence be as kind as you were.
warmly
Frank Rowe

Geno- You will be missed, especially at tennis and Coffee Klatch. I hope Big John doesn't charge us for his comedy show. Keep your polo collar up! Through God's mercy, rest in peace, brother. Much love. Michelle.
