Was shocked to see this obituary. Had no idea he was ill. Gordon is a cousin who spent a lot of time with our family in Newhall California as he was growing up. I was his high school teacher who was very aware of his school pranks; a live pig placed in the school over night, etc. He was a great kid and very fun to be around. I have great memories of his fun antics with our family and working with him on their ranch and riding stables. Can hardly wait to see him in the next life.

Dear King family,
Our family sends our love and prayers to your family at the passing of Gordon. We truly loved being his friend in our youth and just before he went on his mission. He does have such a fun, kind, teasing personality. My husband Jim and I love the King family. We have loved hearing stories of your adventures at the ranch and as your parents raised their large family. Such an example in so many important ways. Life has sent us all in many directions and contact gets lost, but you remain ever in our memories with affection and respect. We pray for each of you as his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings at this time of loss and change. I personally enjoyed my time with Gordon as he prayed and readied himself to serve the Lord on a full time mission. It was wonderful to see him so excited to serve and I know he would wish that for his posterity. We regret we are not able to attend his funeral. We are living above the Arctic Circle as I work with the Native Alaskans in dentistry up here in Alaska. May your hearts be comforted and peace and joy fill your hopes that you will be together again in some future day. Love, Carla (Olsen) and Jim (Jimmy) Lindblom , old ninth ward friends..
