I know it's been a year since Brad died, but I only found out this past week. I was in Germany a year ago May and June. I pray that the wonderful memories you shared with Brad are helping you get through these tough times. You are all in my prayers.
Dear Dr. and Cynthia Harper
We are heartbroken about your loss. We know how proud you are of all your sons. We remember you telling us that all Brad ever wanted was to be a fire fighter. Our hearts go out to you. God bless and keep you safe always along with your three other beautiful sons.
Lena, my husband put a new PFD sticker on my car last week that has Brad's name on it. I think about you and Brad everyday, especially shift days. Know that your Phoenix Fire family will always have you both in our hearts. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you might find at least a shred of solace in my words, thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
Brad, I continue to think about you but gain comfort knowing you are in a better place. The impact you have left not only on your group of friends but others all around to witness is remarkable. I miss you so much and I miss seeing your stupid smile every time one of us hurt ourselves. We all love you and will continue to look after your brothers, parents, and wife Lena. See you on the other side man! Love you!

To the family and loved ones of Phoenix Firefighter Bradley Harper,
Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with each and every one of you. May the good lord hold you in the palm of his hand, bless, and guide you this day and always. As a mom of a firefighter, first responders are the most prayed for in my life. Thank you for sharing Bradley.
I remember when Columbine happened Brad, Jake, and I were putting up the flag that morning an they started talking about everything that had happened. I had no clue what had happened and I got scared. Brad held my hand on the way back to class and said its ok we would all protect each other. Just holding a friends hand put me at ease and he knew it. He tuned in to things like that.
Also I remember plotting to tip over Jakes chair when he fell sleep leaning back during movies :)
He was a special soul. Well beyond his years. He will be missed dearly by us all.
My family and I want to give our best to the Harpers. Know that he was loved and always will be.
Cara Carissa Casey and Stephanie Hanners

What is a firefighter?
He is the guy next door.
He is a guy like you and me with worries and unfulfilled dreams, yet he stands taller than most of us.
He is a fireman...
A fireman is at once the most fortunate and the least fortunate of men.
He is a man who saves lives because he seen too much death.
He is a gentle man because he has seen the awesome power of violence out of control.
He is responsive to a child's laughter because his arms have held too many small bodies that will never laugh again.
He doesn't preach the brotherhood of man.
He lives it. He is a hero.
God speed, Brad and know that your life is cherished and honored by those you don't even know. Our utmost respect to your family. They are in our hearts and prayers.

My heart is so heavy for the loss of Firefighter Harper, his wife, beautiful daughter,family/friends who are left behind. I wish I could find the right words of comfort. Just know that the community is grieving with you all and will support you every step of the way. I have a picture in my head that Firefighter Harper and our Officer Raetz went side by side together up to heaven telling jokes and stories about the good/happy outcome calls they had gone on and their excitement for their new journey with God. They will never be forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and especially your wife. May God Bless you and keep you.
Brad was a good friend of my son Nick and daughter Janelle during and after high school, at NCCS. They have spoken very highly of him. It truly saddens me to hear the tragic loss of a fireman. You dedicated your life in helping others. May you rest in peace and may your entire family, friends and comrades be blessed. You will always be remembered.
Brad, I've known you since you were in kindergarten and watched you grow up as an extended member of our family. I have so many memories of you and Jake, and all the other boys over the years. I especially remember driving you guys around before you had your licenses, all crammed into my tiny truck making me listen to Blink 182 and screaming along at the top of your lungs. Or when you and Jake backed into the neighbor's car, and panicked, and I had to handle everything. I always considered you my honorary little brother.
This truly breaks my heart for your family and friends. I know just how close you guys were, seeing it first hand. We will miss you so much, its not even possible to truly put into words. And know that Lena will always be well taken care of and will never be alone. So much love to your parents, brothers, and Lena.

To the Harper Family:
I went through the academy with Steven in 06-4 and know all 3 Harpers. I had the privilege of working with Brad on a few calls and saw him almost every shift. I will always remember him as being kind, helpful and always saying "Hello" every time I saw him. I know he is up in Heaven right now and everyone will enjoy his smile just as much as we did down here. My thoughts and prayers go out to both Eric and Steve, as well as Brad's parents, Siblings and Wife. He will be sadly missed.
