To a very caring and loving man. Whom once told me, he wore many hats. No matter how long his day was, he still carried a Bright Smile. I will never forget Dr. Bayham. May he rest in peace in heaven. Bertha Luna
I love you Dad ...Bets
...you live on in our hearts Dad...
Happy Birthday Godfather, you are dearly missed by so many of us!
Dear Dad...Happy Birthday! I miss you so...a doctor at the age of 21 years...I have been proud of you all my life...you practiced medicine for more than 60 years. Saving lives...one at the bottom of the Grand Canyon... by using Knee Chest Resuscitation...I wanted to let you know that the Arizona Medical Association just called to say that they are publishing your opinion on the reinstating of Knee Chest Resuscitation into the practice of medicine this October in the AzMedicine Magazine...Your memory will live on for ever in my heart...Love, Bets
Another recollection of my father's 60 years dedicated to the practice of medicine:
IT WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GRAND CANYON...WHERE HE HAD NOTHING ELSE TO WORK WITH WHEN THE SCOUT MASTER HAD A HEART ATTACK BUT KNEE-HEST RESUSCITATION. MY FATHER SAVED THE SCOUT MASTER'S LIFE WITH THE KNEE CHEST RESUSCITATION TECHNIQUE; HOWEVER,
TODAY....THIS TECHNIQUE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE...AND MY FATHER PASSIONATELY FELT...TILL THE DAY HE DIED...
THAT IT SHOULD BE RE-INTRODUCED AS A LIFE SAVING TECHNIQUE.
THERE IS A LEAGUE OF OTHERS THAT FEEL THE SAME ...AND EFFORTS ARE ON TO REINSTATE THE KNEE CHEST RESUSCITATION
THAT MY FATHER USED TO SAVE MANY MANY LIVES.
An early memory of my Dad practicing medicine...It was a Friday evening ...about 5pm and for once the office was closing on time. As I locked the door looking forward to my plans for the evening...a man came rushing in ...his hand held high and without his thumb. I urgently summoned my father...and resumed locking the front door; however, a woman came rushing in saying " I found it! ...I found it!" A moment later, I was sternly summoned to assist in cutting the sutures. My plans for the evening were cancelled... but the thumb took.
He was my colleague at Clinica Familar Mexicana, the TSA, Gladys McGarey Physician Study Group and Head Start and he was my companion at many CME's. His was a mind I could consult with on difficult cases and full of stories of practicing medicine in Phoenix starting in the '50s. It is hard to believe my friend is gone.
Uncle Bill was so special to our family. We hold very special memories. Our thoughts are with you.
All our love
Rest in peace Dr. Bayham. You not only took care of your own family but cared for so many other people during your life in a kind, compassionate manner.I know you touched the Butler Family in a positive way when my Dad and I both sought out the services of "Dr. Wilbur C." I smiling right now as I recall some of the wise, witty advice you gave me, all of which I should have listened to. What a great legacy of giving and caring, both personally and professionally, you have left for others to follow. Your spot in heaven was defiinitely earned during your time on earth. Our thoughts and prayers are with my good friends in the Bayham Family.

Thank you for your generosity of time and support for the Westside Head Start families and staff...We love you as a person and a dear friend. Will miss you!
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family as your grieve the loss of your Father, our Uncle Bill. From our earliest days, Uncle Bill took care of us. We are forever thankful for the care and support to our family all our lives. We are especially grateful for the incredible medical care he gave us which saved our MOM's life, my 5th grade brother's life and my life twice when I was very ill and even hospitalized. It was so fun when we joined our cousins on Uncle Bill's hospital rounds which was a special introduction to the medical field and then working as a teenager in his office. As an adult it was always fun talking to Uncle Bill about family history, medical issues, religious issues and the world in general. Over the years we all have been so proud to have been identified as related to Dr. Bayham who treated so many people, who thought so highly of him. Our prayers and thanks continue to Uncle Bill and his family.

Uncle Bill you will be greatly missed. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family.
