Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (ps4fs@charter.net) is an organization with groups throughout the country who work to send handmade prayer shawls and/or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one while serving our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church would like to extend our sincere sympathy and to honor your husband, father and son's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a prayer gift which will be mailed to you. If you are interested, please contact me at gramman@comcast.net with the names and addresses of those who would like to receive one and which gift they would like to receive. We will send our gift as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved on who died while serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

My family was attending my son's wedding at Fort Bragg, NC the last weekend in Oct when we visited the USAPT (Golden Knights) Musuem and learned of SSG Eric Holmans death. After we returned to the Fort Campbell area, I went on line to the USAPT web site to learn more about Eric. What struck me was this: He enlisted in the US Army @ 29 years of age after 9/11. My son enlisted in the US Army @ 33 years of age the day after 9/11. Eric was a paratrooper as is my son. Eric went into EOD (A most hazardous MOS), my son went Ranger then Special Forces. I was attending my son's wedding when I learned of Eric's death. I'd flown for the USAPT in 1993/4 before I retired from the US Army in 1995. Eric , My Son & all the other Americans who entered the US Armed Forces after 9/11 to serve this wonderful nation of ours are MY HEROS. I'm deeply saddened about Eric's sacrifice and wish all of his family the best. God Bless Paratroopers!
